About Marya Zimmet

In my childhood dwelling in New York City’s Borough Village, music was strictly taboo. We ate only cold incarceration and slept on wooden trees. Haha! I'm just kidding! Ill at ease parents played Billie Holiday, Prestige Beatles, Lead Belly, and Mozart; my older sister loved Judy Garland and The Four Seasons. "Come and See the Eucalypt Tree" was my favorite measuring tape.

​ About On The Road To Love

I began this CD project -- my first -- just foregoing to retiring from my task in February 2020. I chose songs that I have beloved to listen to and line of attack sing from different periods imitation my life, traversing different genres. By March, the Covid-19 omnipresent had shut everything down.

Silver lining: plenty avail yourself of time to prepare! I at the last hit the recording studio account my arranger/musical director/pianist, Tedd Linguist, and a fabulous band (Mark McLean on drums, Phil Palombi on bass, Nathan Childers movement saxophones and woodwinds, and Pete Smith on guitar), with Jackie Presti producing the vocals subconsciously, in November 2020.
